Description
NELSON 34 "KAYTOR"
Probably one of the prettiest Nelson 34s around with an extended wheelhouse which was fitted by Tyler Mouldings during manufacture. Her hull is in excellent condition, having been stored out of the water for many years. However, she requires restoration. We are happy to sell this vessel as is, where is, OR we offer a complete or partial restoration service.
Arthur Mursell of TT Boat Designs recently commented:
“If you get it right, ‘Kaytor’ might be the most ‘exciting’ boat you have ever owned. It will not have the most accommodation and it will certainly be a wet boat, but for its length, it will have excellent seakeeping and good handling.”
Arthur’s comments are based on KAYTOR being fitted with brand new modern lightweight four-cylinder 270hp diesel engines, such as the Toyota-based 3 Litre Nanni T4/270 engines.
If you would like to see KAYTOR and talk to us about her restoration and update, as well as a recently restored Nelson 35, ‘Cygnet of Beaulieu’ (formerly owned by Lord Montague), please come and visit us in Emsworth.
Nelson Motor Yachts also build new Nelson 18s in ‘The Nelson Shed’ using original 1962 Halmatic mould tooling together with eight new internal GRP mouldings.
